First black-bean dyed rolag. This is from the batch with two tablespoons of vinegar, and it’s a nice, light blue-violet-grey, prettier than it looks in the photo. The dye liquid in the vinegar batches changed colour to a spectacular red, but in the end the colour absorbed by the wool was pretty much the same for all batches. 10% seems to have been pretty skimpy for pure alum- next time I’ll try it with cream of tartar.
